Wow what a week-end. This week-end Maryanne and 34 other woman spent the week-end at the Lantana Lodge in Pilot Point ,Tx on Lake Ray Roberts. We had a wonderful time spending time together and learning more about being Mentor to others. Not only our friends, but also those around us. Reaching out with the love of Christ to those around us no matter what their age. They used the example of the Titus 2 woman. I was able to spend some wonderful time with my wonderful friend Jerri. We worked on a service project of making warm fleece blankets for a local homeless shelter. We ended up with 24 of them. The weather was beautiful and we just had a great time.

When we got back we went to lunch with the family to celebrate Joel's 22nd birthday and Dennis's 49th birthday.

I am off today and tomorrow and trying to catch up and get ready for this week-end when I get to go to a scrap booking retreat. Someone asked me if I was a professional retreat attender. That's an idea, find all the retreats in your area and attend one each week-end. Not really, these two that I do every year just happened to fall back to back. This next one will be south of Fort Worth, on the Brazos River in Glen Rose , Tx. This is more the beginning of the Hill Country of Texas.

Godtoberfest 2008

Sunday morning and we are all getting ready for church. We had a big day yesterday. The church that Joel attends. Concordia Lutheran Church in Bedford , had a big music Festival . We all attended and participated. What a gift and privilege to serve our God in an outreach like this.

There were different churches from all over our area, and different denominations. Joel's praise band Devine Praise was awesome and he also sang with the men's choir from their church. It is a very small church and God has blessed them with so many gifted musicians. Ami and I Sang latter on in the day with our Praise Team from Crown of Life Lutheran Church in Colleyville.

The stage was huge and we could hear the music all the way to our house. We are about 1/4 of a mile away. Our prayer is that someone was able to hear God's word through our music.
